Dangote Cement Boosts Road Safety with Driver Retreat

Dangote Cement Plc, based in Gboko, Benue, has increased its focus on road safety by organizing a strategic retreat for drivers. The event, held at the company's plant on Thursday, aimed to improve driver competence and ensure their well-being through training, performance-based rewards, and enhanced healthcare support.

The retreat, themed 'Think Safety, Act Safely,' was part of ongoing efforts to foster a stronger safety culture within the company's transport operations. Management reiterated its dedication to safeguarding lives and maintaining high safety standards across its logistics network.

This initiative follows similar programs previously conducted for drivers at the Ibese and Obajana plants. The retreat provided an opportunity for management to recognize the critical role drivers play in delivering products nationwide, despite challenging road and weather conditions.
