Dangote Refinery Job Ads Found To Be Fake

Job advertisements circulating on Facebook claim the Dangote Group is recruiting thousands of workers for its planned refinery in Lamu, Kenya. However, these job postings do not appear on the company's official careers portal, raising concerns about their authenticity.
Construction of the Dangote oil refinery in Lamu county began on 30 September 2026, with Kenyan president William Ruto and Dangote Group founder Aiko Dangote present at the groundbreaking ceremony. The project is expected to process 700,000 barrels of crude oil per day and create thousands of jobs.
The job ads direct applicants to unverified email addresses, which could pose risks to job seekers. Africa Check has confirmed that the advertisements are fake, and the Dangote Group has not officially advertised these positions.
