Education Minister Commends Dangote’s Student Share Grant Initiative

Education Minister Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa praised Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the Aliko Dangote Foundation for launching a share grant initiative aimed at engaging Nigerian tertiary students in the capital market through the IPO of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE.

The initiative, as stated by the minister, offers students aged 18 and above who meet specific criteria the chance to apply for an additional 10 refinery shares, following their purchase of at least 10 shares through the designated student subscription channel.

Alausa highlighted the initiative as an innovative method to prepare students for greater economic participation, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy, responsible investing, and long-term financial planning.
