KwaZulu-Natal has received R124.5 billion in investment commitments, surpassing its initial target of R95 billion by R29.5 billion.

Provincial Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli revealed the progress during his speech at the 2026 KwaZulu-Natal Investment Conference, which took place at the Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban on 15 and 16 October.

The conference gathered national and provincial leaders, investors, and business executives to examine investment prospects and enhance partnerships for economic growth.

Ntuli emphasized that the pledges reflect confidence in the province's economic potential, but he highlighted the need to focus on converting these commitments into tangible projects and employment.

The current investment commitments follow the province's initiative launched in 2024, when 17 companies committed R85.2 billion at the first conference.
