FG Launches Economic Framework to Address Policy Inconsistency

The Federal Government has introduced a National Economic Policy Framework aimed at resolving long-standing issues of policy inconsistency. This initiative is designed to replace erratic decision-making with a transparent and consistent approach to economic governance.
The framework was officially launched by Taiwo Oyedele, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, during the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja. The summit's theme focused on achieving sustainable growth through job creation and shared prosperity.
Oyedele emphasized that Nigeria's economic challenges stem from the lack of a unified economic philosophy and consistent implementation, rather than a shortage of development plans. He highlighted that frequent policy changes and insufficient data-driven decisions have hindered business growth and investment.
