The governor emphasized that the initiative would significantly enhance food security for the state's residents.

During a flag-off event in Ilorin, the governor noted that farmers are encountering various challenges, requiring consistent support to reduce their losses and increase their income.

The governor welcomed participants to the Kwara FADAMA programme, highlighting the difficulties farmers face, including high input costs, unpredictable weather, limited equipment, and challenges in transporting and processing their produce.

According to the programme, 54,332 farmers and service providers received support, while 131,898 obtained productive and processing assets across 10 value chains.

The governor stated that these figures indicate an improvement in the livelihoods of farmers, processors, and families.
