MAN Summit Aims to Address High Energy Costs for Manufacturers

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) is set to host an energy summit aimed at addressing the challenges of high energy costs for manufacturers. The event will focus on affordable power solutions, financing options, and energy-efficient technologies to lower operating expenses for industrial players.
Dr Ifeanyi Okoye, President of MAN, highlighted during a news conference in Lagos that the summit will tackle issues such as reducing industrial energy costs, improving access to affordable gas, and promoting energy efficiency. He also mentioned the need to mobilize financing for alternative power solutions.
Okoye stated that high electricity tariffs, unreliable supply, and reliance on costly alternative energy sources have negatively impacted industrial productivity and the competitiveness of Nigerian manufacturers.
