Principal Asset Management, a US-based money manager, is increasing its focus on Asia-Pacific property markets, suggesting investors should maintain their bets on US real estate. The firm believes investors have been underweight in the region's office property segment.

Richard Hill, senior managing director at Principal Asset Management, noted that institutional investors in the Asia-Pacific region are showing continued interest in US commercial real estate, which they view as too significant to ignore.

Hill emphasized that investors globally are recognizing their structural underweight position in Asia-Pacific real estate relative to its share of total global commercial real estate valuations, according to recent interviews.
