Pakistan Increases Sea LPG Imports Amid Land Disruptions

KOKO Business | People, Ideas, Markets, Growth | Pakistan Increases Sea LPG Imports Amid Land Disruptions

Pakistan has increased liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports via sea routes due to disruptions in land-based supply chains. More than 11,600 tonnes of LPG arrived at Karachi's ports within a week, as retail prices have risen across the country.

The arrival of the LPG carrier Yellow Stone, which transported 4,000 metric tonnes of gas from Bahrain, further highlights the shift to maritime imports. The vessel docked at Port Qasim on October 24, according to port authorities.

The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) confirmed the vessel's arrival and noted that the port is playing a key role in handling essential energy imports for both domestic and commercial users.
