KOKO Business | People, Ideas, Markets, Growth | PalmPay Warns Against Fraudulent Schemes

PalmPay has issued guidance to customers on how to safely handle service-related inquiries, including account access and transaction assistance.

Scammers may attempt to deceive users by offering fake rewards, promising refunds, or asking for account details to resolve complaints.

The company specifically warned customers against sharing one-time passwords (OTPs), personal identification numbers (PINs), passwords, or verification codes.

PalmPay also recommended that users verify the legitimacy of social media accounts and other communication channels before providing personal or financial information.

Customers are encouraged to reach out to PalmPay's official support channels if they suspect fraudulent activity or notice unusual transactions.

Users were also advised to review the security features in the PalmPay app’s Security Centre and report any suspicious activity immediately.
