United Nigeria Airlines Aims for N100bn Commercial Paper Market

United Nigeria Airlines is planning to enter the commercial paper market with a target of raising N100 billion. The airline aims to issue commercial paper as part of its financial strategy to support growth and operational expansion.

The airline's investor presentation from September 2026 outlined its financial performance and five-year expansion plan, which included the issuance of commercial paper in Series 1 and 2. These will have tenors of 270 days and 364 days, respectively.

This proposed issuance marks the first under United Nigeria Airlines' N100 billion commercial paper programme, which is intended to bolster its financial position and support its domestic, regional, and international operations.
