NIS Launches Digital Certificate Verification System

The National Institute for Sports (NIS) has implemented a technology-driven system to verify certificates issued by the Institute, including those from previous years, to enhance the credibility and international recognition of its training programs.

Rt. Comrade Philip Shaibu, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of NIS, announced the initiative, as stated in a declaration by Ben Ogbemudia, Special Assistant to the Director-General, at the Office of the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, NIS, Athletes Development Centre (ADC), Abuja.

NIS certificates will now include scannable technology, allowing their authenticity to be verified digitally from anywhere globally, according to the new arrangement.

The innovation is anticipated to streamline the verification process, making it more efficient and reliable for employers, sports organizations, educational institutions, and other entities seeking to confirm the qualifications of NIS graduates.
