Karachi Fish Harbour Security Measures Announced

Following the ban on coastal activities due to the approaching cyclonic storm Biparjoy, fishing boats are seen anchored at the Karachi Fish Harbour. The city's fish harbour is undergoing a security overhaul as part of the preparations.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar to enhance security and establish a dedicated police station at the harbour. This initiative is to be carried out in collaboration with the Fisheries Department.

In addition to security measures, the CM ordered the mandatory registration of all harbour users, the implementation of RFID-based identification cards, and an upgrade of the existing database to improve access control and monitoring.
