Faisalabad Rickshaw Drivers Protest LPG Overcharging

Rickshaw drivers in Faisalabad protested against alleged overcharging of LPG cylinders, demanding action from local authorities. The demonstration took place at the District Council Chowk, where drivers carried banners calling for a crackdown on dealers selling gas at double the government’s fixed price.

The drivers claimed that due to a sharp increase in petrol prices, they had to rely on LPG but faced exploitation by dealers who charged excessive rates, making it difficult for them to sustain their livelihood.

Separately, a worker suffered severe burns from chemicals while working in a textile dyeing factory at the Punjab Small Industries Estate in Faisalabad.
