Moniepoint, a Nigerian financial services company, is restructuring its engineering and product teams, with some roles set to become redundant. The company has announced plans to cut positions in these departments as part of an ongoing restructuring effort.

Affected employees are being offered a voluntary exit package as part of the restructuring process. The company aims to complete the transition by the end of December, according to two employees with direct knowledge of the matter.

Muktar Oladunmade, a Nigerian merchant, recently used a Moniepoint POS terminal to process a customer’s card payment at a retail shop, highlighting the company’s ongoing role in the local financial ecosystem.
