Senate to Receive World Bank-Funded System for County Assembly Resolutions

KOKO Business | People, Ideas, Markets, Growth | Senate to Receive World Bank-Funded System for County Assembly Resolutions

The Senate is set to implement a digital system for tracking and managing resolutions passed by county assemblies, according to the National Assembly KE. This initiative aims to enhance transparency, monitoring, and accountability in the legislative process.

The State Department for Devolution has invited consultants to design and develop an online database that will track resolutions from county assemblies. The system is intended to improve coordination and legislative practices across county assemblies.

The consultancy for the system will be funded through the Second Kenya Devolution Support Programme (KDSP-II), which is financed by the World Bank. This initiative supports the Senate and aims to improve access to information on county legislative decisions.
