NDLEA Warns Nigerians Against Accepting Parcels from Unknown Senders

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) issued a public alert after discovering illicit drugs hidden within a keg of palm oil destined for Saudi Arabia. Femi Babafemi, the agency’s director of media and advocacy, revealed that the consignment was delivered to a woman traveling to the Middle East for onward shipment.
NDLEA officers intercepted the woman at the airport, uncovering polythene-wrapped substances during the check. Babafemi cautioned that the woman might have faced severe penalties if Saudi authorities had detected the drugs.
The agency urged Nigerians to share the alert with their contacts to avoid travelers being entangled in drug trafficking activities.
