NEPZA Commits to Worker Safety in Ogun Free Trade Zones

The Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority, NEPZA, has confirmed that workplace safety and security measures are in place to safeguard factory workers in Ogun Free Trade Zones.
Mr Steven Makanjuola, NEPZA's Administrative Manager, made the statement during a press conference at the Ogun–Guangdong Free Trade Zone in Igbesa, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.
The Ogun State Government recently closed a steel company in Sagamu after a worker died in an operational accident, which led to a stop-work order following safety inspection findings.
NEPZA emphasized that the presence of OGFTZ in Igbesa has generated employment and business partnerships, and that maintaining these benefits depends on strict compliance with safety and labor standards.
NEPZA continues to collaborate with zone operators, investors, and government agencies to ensure adherence to safety regulations, emergency response protocols, and worker welfare provisions.
