Niger State Police Command has successfully rescued two abducted children along the Abuja-Kaduna highway. The children, aged eight and 12, were found stranded in their father's abandoned Toyota Highlander.

The incident occurred on October 19 when the father attempted to enroll his children at a government school in Suleja but was denied entry due to incomplete documents. After leaving the school gate, he parked by the roadside and handed the vehicle key to the children before going to a nearby computer centre.

The father reportedly returned to find that the children and the vehicle were missing. The police later located the children and the car, with the statement noting that the vehicle was occupied by the two children aged 8yrs and 12yrs respectively.
