Stanbic IBTC Proposes N4.50 Interim Dividend as Half-Year Profit Jumps 38%

Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc has proposed an interim dividend of N4.50 per share for the half-year ended June 30, 2026. The proposal follows a 38.24% increase in profit after tax, which reached N23.9 billion from N17.34 billion a year earlier.
Profit before tax climbed 40.17% to N34.13 billion, while gross earnings rose to N650.3 billion from N511.5 billion. Net interest income gained 13.32% to N53.4 billion. The half-year statements set October 15, 2026 as the qualification date for the cash dividend and November 13, 2026 for payment.
Other line items moved in different directions: interest income fell to N359.1 billion from N379.6 billion, and customer loans declined 12.97% to N208.7 billion from N239.8 billion. Interest-earning investments increased 12.37% to N141.7 billion. Interest expense rose to N92.8 billion from N68.8 billion, while operating expenses advanced 9.10% to N195.4 billion from N179.1 billion.
