Zenith Bank Launches Girl-Child Empowerment Programme for Lagos Schoolgirls

Zenith Bank Plc initiated its first Girl-Child Empowerment Programme, titled 'Banking on Her Tomorrow,' engaging 300 schoolgirls aged 13 to 17 from Lagos schools. The event occurred at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, on Monday, featuring mentorship and personal development activities.

Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji, OON, Zenith Bank’s Group Managing Director/CEO, conceived the initiative to foster young girls’ potential and guide informed future decisions. Thelma Okonye and Adesola Adeyemo presented sessions on saving, responsible money management, and investment.

The programme included prominent figures such as Adesuwa Okunbo-Rhodes, founder of Aruwa Capital Management, and Her Majesty Olori Atuwatse III, Queen Consort of Warri Kingdom, alongside Zenith Bank’s Executive Director, Adobi Nwapa.
