Singapore Firms Acknowledge Haze Law Notices

KOKO Business | People, Ideas, Markets, Growth | Singapore Firms Acknowledge Haze Law Notices

Ten Singapore-based companies have acknowledged notices from the National Environment Agency (NEA) regarding their links to fires in Indonesia under the haze law. The notices were issued on October 23, and non-compliance may result in penalties for company representatives.

While all ten firms received the NEA requests for information, three did not explicitly confirm their cooperation with the agency's demands. These include Indofood Agri Resources, TSH Global Plantation, and TSH Oversea.

On October 26, the last two firms, TSH Global Plantation and TSH Oversea, responded through Malaysian parent company TSH Resources. The firm stated its subsidiaries were notified on October 23 to provide documents and information under Section 10 of the Transboundary Haze Pollution Act by November 2.
